Katlin Hecox has provided services in the field of health and wellness for over 30 years. Coming from the perspective that our mind, body and emotions are all interrelated, Katlin offers a holistic approach to coping with life's challenges and reaching our personal wellness goals. Many people who come to Integrative Therapies are dealing with pain, injury or illness. Some are experiencing anxiety, depression or attempting to adjust to new life circumstances. Whether you are trying to cope with daily life stressors, a major personal trauma or are simply looking to optimize your sense of well-being, Katlin can offer you professional guidance on your road to a happier, healthier life. Given Katlin’s broad background in the healing arts, she is available to help you:
- Navigate the physical, social and psychological aspects of chronic pain or illness
- Learn to reduce stress through the use of biofeedback, relaxation techniques, meditation and other mind-body therapies
- Cope with grief or loss associated with chronic or life-threatening illness
- Increase self-awareness and discover ways in which beliefs impact health and well-being
- Heal from trauma and the effects of unhealthy family environments

Katlin Hecox received her Master of Arts degree in 1986 in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (NC, NV and CA) and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (NV). In addition to her many years in private practice, Katlin has spent time teaching in college and university settings and has worked in Social Services and crisis management in the public sector. Katlin is also a trained EMDR Practitioner and Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (NC#1112). Katlin’s broad background supports her unique multidisciplinary role at the clinic as she seeks to help clients reclaim joy and experience an enhanced quality of life.
Confidentiality
Katlin Hecox adheres to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice adopted by the North Carolina Board of Marriage and Family Therapists. All information shared with her is held in strict confidence with the exception of:
- When a client presents a clear and imminent danger to self or others,
- When abuse of a child (someone under the age of 18) or elderly person is suspected or known,
- When a court order demands that confidential information be revealed, or
- With written permission from the client
Appointment Availability, Referral and Benefit Information
Services provided by Katlin Hecox are offered as part of Integrative Therapies’ multidisciplinary program or as an independent service for those who are interested specifically in mental health counseling or life coaching. Katlin typically has daytime and evening appointments available each week.
Integrative Therapies accepts most health insurance, however, coverage for counseling with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) may vary from one plan to another.
