Our team is ready to serve you.

Although medication and surgery can be very helpful and necessary for many people, there are some who continue to experience pain after these interventions have been tried. Others are seeking to find comfort but wish to avoid surgery or the use of pain medication. Sometimes the solution is found not just in conventional medicine or in alternative strategies alone, but in the combination of the two, or what is referred to as integrative medicine.

At Integrative Therapies we offer this combination under one roof. We have a staff of integrative practitioners and an integrative medical doctor, trained in western medicine and regenerative medicine, who uses a holistic approach to patient care. By working together as a team, we can structure a plan to help you on your journey to living a pain free and active life.

Some regenerative medicine interventions are used for the same orthopedic indications as stem cell therapy but are safer and a fraction of the cost. These treatments that help heal the root causes of pain include prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP), and neural therapy. We also offer neural prolotherapy, medical acupuncture and hypnoacupuncture. A brief description of some of these services can be found below. For more detailed information about these treatments and evidenced based studies about their efficacy, please visit IntegrativePainMD.com.

Prolotherapy is a regenerative medicine procedure that helps regenerate and repair tendons, ligaments and joints. These structures are often the root cause of many painful conditions including low back pain, neck pain, knee pain and arthritis. Prolotherapy has also been found to be very effective in the treatment of rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow and many other pain problems. Former U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop, MD, was an advocate for prolotherapy.

Neural Prolotherapy, also known as neurofascial prolotherapy, perineural therapy and subcutaneous prolotherapy, is a regenerative medicine treatment that helps restore normal nerve function to nerves. It can be very helpful for people with nerve pain due to neurogenic inflammation as a result of injury, trauma or overuse.

Neural Therapy is a treatment for pain caused by scars or disturbances in autonomic ganglia, teeth or internal organs which create "interference fields”. These interference fields have abnormal electrical activity causing disturbances in the nervous system. Abnormalities may be noted in autonomic nervous system functioning and sensory systems resulting in numbness and chronic pain.

Medical Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture that is performed by a doctor licensed in Western medicine who has had thorough training in acupuncture as a specialty practice. Medical acupuncture respects our contemporary understanding of anatomy and pain physiology while embracing the classical Chinese perception of subtle circulation networks. It is particularly helpful for low back pain, neck pain, headaches, knee pain and arthritis.

Hypnoacupuncture – Acupuncture and hypnosis have each been found to be helpful for pain relief. Each have reportedly been used alone as the only anesthetic for surgery. Hypnoacupuncture combines these treatments to help achieve even better results.
