YOGA FOR HEALTH
Facilitator: Certified Yoga Instructor: Heather Fields

This weekly series of classes draws on the wisdom of Yoga, while providing you with guidance in stretching and strengthening exercises, as well as strategies to promote relaxation. The sessions are designed to help enhance your body awareness. They are also intended to provide support toward maintaining therapeutic gains for those who have been involved in an individual therapy program. The small class size is tailored toward beginners and intermediate students to allow for individual attention, when needed. Individual sessions available upon request. NUTRITIONAL SOLUTIONS

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Learn to put down all the balls you are juggling in your day-to-day life and embrace what’s really important, and become aware of the “little things”. Discover a quality of internal peace that is innate, but you keep missing with your busy days and even busier mind. Together with Lina you will explore how Mindfulness Meditation can help you find peace amidst the chaos and become a more focused, calmer & healthier you! Each week there will be a different theme to heighten your experience with this meditation’s many offerings. Life is a matter of moments…make your moments matter.

BONES For LIFE®
Facilitator: Betsy Oldenburg, Certified BONES For LIFE® Teacher

Help strengthen and restore bone mass naturally. Bones for Life® is a movement program designed to address the deterioration of bone tissue through gentle, safe movement exploration, and especially helpful for those dealing with osteoporosis/osteopenia. We will approach a number of movement tasks using mindful exploration, pressure, rhythm and vibration. Increasing both flexibility and stability, and improving the transmission of pressure from feet to head promotes the regeneration of bone tissue. Anyone wishing to strengthen their bone structure and improve the efficiency of daily movement is appropriate for this class. Participants do need to be able to get up and down from the floor.

TRAGER® MENTASTICS – MIND/BODY RELAXATION
Facilitator: Betsy Oldenburg, Certified Trager® Practitioner & LMBT, # 330
Day: Second & Fourth Friday of each month
Time: 3:00-4:00 PM

It utilizes gentle, non-intrusive, natural movements that are never forced, so there is no discomfort to you. You are left with a feeling of deep relaxation and increased flexibility. Mentastic 'moves' are not only practical, because they are so easy and effective, but they are simple and fun to learn. Attending just one class can give you plenty of ideas for adding comfort to your day. But you are welcome to come as often as you'd like!

FELDENKRAIS® – AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT

Day: First Wednesday of each month

The Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement (ATM) Class teaches you how to become aware of the way you move your body. It gives you choices about how to change habitual movement and posture for improved function. Some of the benefits of attending the ATM class are increased flexibility and agility and reduced tension and pain. People also gravitate to the ATM class to enhanced physical skill levels and improved their overall quality of life.
